Explanation of the work
Imagine there's a tunnel left as is in the sandbox or there are rocks arranged in clearly artificial ways in a riverbed. When I see collapsed and mossy ruins, I get the feeling that something happened there in the past, but there's also a kind of irritation that's a bit like feeling resigned to never finding out more. For me, not knowing is in itself a major theme.
No one can enter this place. To put it another way, this means I'll be completely alone as long as I stay here, but my heart feels calm and at peace. I think everyone has a concept of a place like this, and they come in all kinds of shapes and forms.
