The main character of Murasaki Shikibu's "Genji Monogatari." Hikaru Genji, the most handsome man of his time, stands in the garden with a fan and a pensive expression. Our perhaps he's enjoying the view of the moon and imagining the woman he loves seeing it as well. The scene gives a sense of stillness and quiet.
