In the precincts, there is the Ōshī, a natural monument designated by the city. The Nippori Enmei-in Temple Kaizuka (Shell Mound) from the late Jomon period (about 4,000 years ago) was discovered in this area. The earthenware, stoneware, and bone and antler artifacts which were excavated are stored and displayed at the Arakawa Furusato Cultural Museum.
