Commemorative Monument of Takamura Kōtarō

There is a monument and an owl statue in front of the school gate of Dai-ichi Nippori Elementary School. The stone monument “Shōjiki-shinsetsu” (Honest Kindness) was built on the 100th anniversary of the school’s establishment by Takamura Kōtarō Takamura who graduated from the school.
