본존의 지장보살은 쇼토쿠 태자가 만들었다고 전해지고 있으며, 코소다테 지장존으로 신앙되고 있습니다. 호레키 원년 (1751)에 열린 지장당을 시작으로, 동9년 (1760)에 지죠지라고 칭하게 되었습니다. 팔각당내에는 센타이 지장존을 비롯해 아미다 삼존 라이고즈를 새긴 요낸부츠쿠요이타 비가 있습니다.
