Sunabasōhonke
A shinise (long-established) soba shop which has been around since the Edo period. The current store owner is the 14th generation owner. The thin white soba noodles which are made from only the center of the buckwheat are characteristic to the store. The all-cypress building, built in 1954, gives insight into the techniques of that time such as the funazoko tenjō (a wooden ceiling shaped like the bottom of a boat), so researchers also visit often.
