【Sculpture】Traveler "I Live"
Around the Arakawa Park Pool in the Arakawa Ward, there is a sculpture by Masaki Hirata entitled "Traveler 'I Live'".
Description of the Work:
Traveler: "Now has become like a dream of a single night, the place I go to and come from, the inn I stay at."
During a long journey, travelers who meet at an inn may form relationships, sometimes harmoniously and sometimes not. But when morning comes, they all go their separate ways. People experience many encounters and departures, and it is perhaps a part of human nature to travel alone. The phrase "The sleeves touching are the ties of many lives" highlights the bonds formed between travelers, and one may ponder what fate brought them to become family, brothers, or friends. This work, "Traveler," depicts such travelers on their journeys.
